Frequently Asked Questions

Can both parents attend the 6th grade conference?
Yes, this is the only SCYP conference in which both parents can attend. But for the cabins we still keep the principle of placing brothers with brothers (boys) and sisters with sisters (girls). Example: Mom and dad come with a daughter. Mom and daughter stay together with the other sisters from that locality and the dad will be place with the other brothers from that locality. Because of the space at the camp we cannot accommodate families together.

For the Junior High and High School Conferences only brothers can attend brothers’ conferences and only sisters can attend sisters’ conferences.

Can I bring other children to the conference?
Only 6th graders are allowed to participate in the conference. Because of the importance of the conference and space at the camp other children younger or older than 6th grade cannot attend the conference. This includes siblings.
